OVERNIGHT CARE

Details and Rates

Overnight care is most requested by dog clients, but certainly is not limited to them!

For dogs or pets who require more than one stop a day, I usually only offer overnight care, rather than just stop-ins.* This provides me the opportunity to be there both late enough in the evening for potty breaks before bed, as well as to let them out right away in the morn and make sure they get breakfast in a timely manner. Then, of course, I offer a walk and/or playtime during the day, or more times if that is something desired. Typically when I’m staying somewhere that also means I get some more time to hang out with them in the home during the day and definitely at night.

Rates for Dogs start at $110/day for care of one dog with one walk a day and staying at a home within the central Oakland area. For each additional dog, there is a $35/day charge. This increases if they need to be walked separately. For additional smaller pets, it is $20/day more (can vary depending on level of care). See the PREMIUM SERVICES section for details on additional services, holiday pricing, and options for folks who live out of central Oakland.

Rates for Cats and other pets for overnight start at $95/day within the central Oakland area. For additional cat or other smaller pets it is $5-20/day more (varries depending on level of care). See the PREMIUM SERVICES section below for details on additional services, like higher maintenance needs or medications, holiday pricing, and options for folks who live out of central Oakland.

Restrictions: When I stay, I move in temporarily with the things I need and require a couple of staples: A reasonably comfortable mattress, wifi, and a somewhat maintained level of cleanliness for allergy and scent sensitivities. I also need some sort of parking option near the house to bring luggage in and out. Unfortunately, I am currently only able to work with small dogs who are good on leash and am unable to take on dogs with high exercise needs due to chronic pain.

*The only time I can offer non-overnights with dogs is when someone else will be helping with their care and an additional presence is needed to come walk them or provide company.
